METHOD 1 - Visit our UK Instagram wedding directory listing the best wedding suppliers on Insta and categorised into handy lists for your wedding planning pleasure.
METHOD 2 - Open the Instagram App and search for relevant hashtags e.g. #manchesterweddingphotographers #sussexweddingcakes #londonweddingvenues etc etc etc
METHOD 3 - Do a Google search for "Instagram [insert keyword here]" e.g "Instagram wedding dress cardiff"
METHOD 4 - Find wedding suppliers on Facebook or in wedding directories or even in wedding magazines if you have to. Visit their websites and look out for their Instagram link.
METHOD 5 - Follow your recently married/engaged friends on Instagram and look to see if they follow any wedding suppliers.
Vet, Filter and Dump The 💩
It's important to check the suppliers you've found are trustworthy. Here are some top tips:
- Check previous posts...see if others like and comment on their work
- How often do they post? If it's only once a year, that might be a little fishy.
- What do they post? Is it their own work?
- Check how many followers they have and who follows them...it's easy these days to buy followers
- Follow the website link in their profile...do they have an up-to-date professional looking website?
Usually, you can easily smell a rat a mile away. If they don't look or feel like the real deal, then unfollow them.
Stalk Your Chosen Suppliers
Once you've found the suppliers you love, follow them!
Follow their work over time. Visit their profiles and have a nose at their older work.
Are they posting consistently and is their work good enough for your wedding?
Like and comment on their work...strike up a relationship and be social.
DM And Book!
If you think you've found the right wedding suppliers for you then it's time to book!
Send them a Direct Message (DM) which they should see and reply to pretty damn quickly.
Ask about availability, prices and brochures. Ask everything you need to give you peace of mind.
